Cycling Campus & City

Description

3Cs is a "Cooperation Partnership" project (Key Action 2) funded by the European Commission within the framework of the ERASMUS+ Programme and in line with the EU's priorities of sustainable development and innovation.

Higher education institutions, sports organisations as well as private and public sector partners located in Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and Switzerland work together to identify, promote, improve and enhance active and environment-friendly mobility to and from university campuses and local urban areas.

Cycling mobility is looked at through a multidimensional approach (behaviour, itineraries, facilities, health, safety, urban planning, accessibility and social inclusion, ecology, etc.) by a team of multidisciplinary researchers and experts to identify new high-impact strategies and recommendations that can be used by a network of actors at local, national and European level for a sustainable evolution of lifestyles.

The 3Cs project is therefore strongly characterised by a significant amount of work on data (data collection, processing, analysis and dissemination) with a dual goal : provide the European cycling population with a digital tool to assist them in their daily practice (routes, infrastructures, services) and decision-makers and organisations with a methodology and relevant practices to bolster the implementation of active and sustainable mobility.

The project will end with a cycling relay from Coimbra to Lausanne, with stopping points in Madrid, Montpellier and Turin !
